I remember fondly a lot of my teachers – academic and otherwise. One particular teacher taught us Small Business Management by the name of Mr. Gokal. The guy knew what he was talking about and his classes and exams were fun and a breeze. I remember once he asked about our ambitions and Sohail and I wrote something that translated pretty much of what the title of this entry says.
No, I am not going to share any juicy details in this entry, so If you want to stop reading now is the time. Well, the point of this story is that our perspectives, desires and ambitions evolve over time. But what never changes is who we really are. When we grow up we make compromises and adjustments, like I have a car which goes pretty fast, but my wife panics whenever I go past 50 km/h. The hot chicks is now hot chick and any thought of plural will end my life singularly
. I got an ok place and tried to make it as cool as possible.
The good part is I got what I wanted in life albeit with a few caveats and am pretty satisfied and I am enjoying it a lot. It’s fun growing up. I have pursuits that I never thought I will take up. I read books, which were meaningless for me and I talk and think about topics totally alien for me.
I believe that I have finally moved up the Maslow’s hierarchy. The journey towards the final step has finally begun.
