I am writing this entry for the benefit of the beginning photographers who are lost about where to go and get there gear. Buying the camera has at least become easier in Pakistan with Cannon, Nikon, Olympus and Sony having their authorized dealers available locally. The trick is when you want the allied accessories like diffusers, reflectors, used lenses, lights, stands, soft boxes and umbrellas.
I have discovered a couple of good dealers that I am happy to share with fellow Karachites who have been wondering around looking for this stuff. I recommend Adamsons behind cooperative market for Studio equipment and Hashmi Camera Store in Regale Camera market next to Saddar GPO for used lenses and other camera related stuff. Aah good info! I am planning to buy a Nikon (D80 probably … or could go for a Canon) in a month or two. Eventually, I also plan to invest in other photography accessories and gear as the ones you have mentioned here.
I have seen some excellent photography accessories outlets in Dubai, where I can just browse through and choose what I like. But nothing of that sort here in Karachi.

Dubai has Salam Studio and Grand Photo. Karachi is limited but you do get most of the stuff.
